Donald Trump is that guy who drives his golf cart all over the green

Trump did this at the site of the U.S. Women’s Open, four weeks prior to the tournament’s start.

Every golf course that takes itself seriously has a long list of rules, with one of the biggest being very easy to understand: Don’t drive the golf cart on the green. It’s a rule that anybody should be able to understand.

Anybody ... except the president of the United States, apparently.

That’s Trump driving on the green at Bedminster, a place that will play host to a major tournament in the U.S. Women’s Open in just a couple weeks. The driving occurred on the weekend of June 9-11, according to the Twitter user who posted the video.

Now, true, it is the Trump National Golf Club, so the president can do whatever it is he wants, but it sure looks like an exercise in laziness and either a lack of knowledge or complete disdain for golfing etiquette.

The greens at golf courses require the most care and are difficult to maintain. A good green is cut short, rolled for speed and any reputable course will take serious umbrage with you if you bring your cart on it. Given that the green is the smallest part of the course that requires the least amount of walking to traverse, it’s an even sillier rule to break.
