The FedExCup Playoffs begin on Thursday with the first round of the Northern Trust Open from Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York, the first of four tournaments that will determine the 2017 PGA Tour postseason champ.

The top 125 players in the FedExCup standings qualified for the event this weekend in New York, but five did not enter the Northern Trust Open. Most notably missing is Masters champion Sergio Garcia, ranked 22nd in points entering the four-week playoff. He has a bit of a routine now of never playing all four Playoffs events even when he does qualify.

Golf Channel will provide television coverage of the first round beginning at 2 p.m. ET, with PGA Tour Live streaming coverage in the morning beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The headlining threesome on Thursday tees off at 8:26 a.m. from the 10th tee at Glen Oaks Club. Hideki Matsuyama is the top-ranked player in FedExCup points, joined by British Open winner Jordan Spieth and PGA Championship victor Justin Thomas. Those are the top three in points heading into the playoffs.

Another marquee group tees off from the first hole at 1:06 p.m., with Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, and Jon Rahm. U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka tees off at 8:15 a.m. from the 10th hole, along with Kevin Kisner and Daniel Berger.
