Sergio Garcia just hit FIVE water balls on the hole that pretty much won him last year’s Masters

El Nino won his first major with his heroics on the 15th one year ago. Augusta giveth, Augusta taketh away with this Tin Cup moment.

WELP. Call it two years in a row Sergio’s made history on the 15th at Augusta.

Just one year ago, our reigning Masters champ dropped in a massive eagle on the 15th hole to put himself in position over Justin Rose to finally get the major championship burden off his back. Speaking from experience, it’s a historic moment for any longtime Sergio stan.

Those kind of memories were sure to bring back positive vibes as he rolled through the 15th for the first time since that big moment, right?

Uh, no.

For the legions of Garcia haters who were perhaps displeased with one of golf’s most polarizing figures taking home a Green Jacket, enjoy, and sit back. Here is Garcia, current champion at the Masters, splashing five balls into the water on the par-5 15th, exactly where he won the tournament last year.

An intrepid golf blogger, who is certainly not me, picked reigning Masters champion Sergio Garcia as a favorite to defend his first ever major championship. That, uh, yeah, won’t be happening.

Should’ve taken a pee, maybe.
