The First Round of the 2018 Masters Tournament from Augusta National was one of the most anticipated in years, as Tiger Woods made his first return to the tournament since 2015. He finished his round 1-over, but he’ll get another go at it on Friday.

One of the biggest stories of Thursday was 2015’s champion Jordan Spieth, who finished as the leader at 6-under, birdieing holes 13-17 on the back nine. Behind Spieth at 4-under is Tony Finau and Matt Kuchar. Finau’s day was perhaps the most impressive, given the fact that he suffered a high ankle sprain Wednesday from celebrating a hole-in-one during the Par 3 contest.

Charley Hoffman, Henrik Stenson, Patrick Reed, Haotong Li, Rory McIlroy, and Adam Hadwin and all tied for fourth at 3-under.

Other notables include Phil Mickelson, who finished 2-under, along with Ricky Rowler, Marc Leishman, Zach Johnson, and Bernd Wiesberger.

Like Thursday’s round, Friday’s television coverage will air on ESPN, starting a bit later in the afternoon. Scott Van Pelt will be the main host for the network’s Thursday and Friday telecasts, along with golf analyst Curtis Strange, and Tom Rinaldi interviewing the players. Sage Steele will also host SportsCenter alongside Van Pelt from Augusta National.

SportsCenter at the Masters will also air throughout the day from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. ET on Friday on ESPN, too.

CBS Sports Network will also televise the Masters driving range show, Masters on the Range, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. CBS will wrap the day up with a highlight show from 11:30-11:45 p.m.

We’ll see what the second round will hold at Augusta National. If it’s anything like Thursday’s round, we should be in for a lot of excitement.
