How to watch Tiger Woods’ Friday round at the Masters live

Woods is in a Masters featured group. Then he’ll be on ESPN.

Tiger Woods tees off at 1:27 p.m. ET on Friday at the Masters, live from Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. Woods is in a group with Marc Leishman and Tommy Fleetwood, and you can stream the entire round among the featured groups at the Masters website.

Woods played his first round at a 1-over 73, which tied him for 29th in the 87-man field by the end of the day on Thursday. He had a couple of nice birdies, but the story of Woods’ round was that he struggled to make headway on the course’s four par-5s. He has historically thrived on those holes, but he sent a few tee shots wide of the fairway and wasn’t able to make long putts that would’ve put him in red numbers for the day.

He ended Thursday seven shots back of leader Jordan Spieth, but the top of the leaderboard was moving backward towards Woods in the couple of hours of play before his early-afternoon tee time. The tournament looks more gettable than it did at breakfast time.

There’s plenty of time for Woods to catch up and contend, but if he’s to be a serious player over the weekend, he likely needs to play a couple of strokes under par on his second 18 holes. The cut line is the low 50 scores plus ties within 10 strokes of the leader, and Woods is positioned to at least play weekend golf if he has a decent afternoon on Thursday.
