The Players Championship 2018: TV channel and schedule for Round 3

Tiger Woods makes the cut on the number, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be featured in the TV coverage on Saturday at TPC Sawgrass.

The Players Championship moves to the weekend with Saturday’s third round at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Fla. (2 p.m. ET, NBC).

Webb Simpson at -15 takes a five-stroke lead into Saturday thanks to a scorching 63 in the second round. He was flirting with the course record until the 17th hole claimed another victim.

Charl Schwartzel, Patrick Cantlay and Danny Lee are all tied for second place at 10-under, and that trio plus Simpson make up the final two groups on Saturday. They tee off at ..., just before television coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET.

Tiger Woods shot a 71 on Friday and just barely made the cut at 1-under. He will be the focus of PGA Tour Live’s featured groups streams early in the morning and should be completely done with his round by the time NBC comes on the air at 2 p.m. ET. So you’ll need a subscription to that Tour OTT service if you want to watch Tiger, as well as Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, earlier in the day.

Television coverage shifts to NBC for the weekend after Golf Channel broadcast the first two rounds. This is one of NBC’s marquee events, adding it to a lineup that features the British Open, FedExCup, and Florida swing. They have long been the broadcast partner of The Players and we’re used to hearing Johnny Miller bring his prickly style to the Sawgrass setup. Here are all your media options for Saturday at The Players:

UPDATE: The PGA Tour is also now simulcast streaming Tiger’s round on their Facebook page. So if you don’t have a PGA TOUR Live subscription, check that out for a livestream of Tiger’s round.
