Tiger Woods live stream 2018: How to watch Players Championship Round 3 online

Sometimes the crew at PGA Tour Live really has to force it on the weekend. They can control the first two days but the weekend requires a bit of a tapdance and some good fortune. Whether it’s a lack of field depth or just a lack of starpower making the cut and playing at weird times for the final two rounds, sometimes those featured groups streams are, well, a bit underwhelming.

That is absolutely not the case on Saturday at The Players Championship. The Tour got just about as perfect a set of circumstances as they could for their early morning featured groups streams. Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, and Justin Thomas all made the cut right on the number and that means they have early tee times falling right into place for those morning featured groups streams. Add on top of it that Spieth and Thomas are actually playing together and it could not have gone better. Those two go off at 8:20 a.m. ET and Tiger will play with Mackenzie Hughes, a friendly face from up north, at 9 a.m. ET.

It appeared for much of the afternoon on Friday that Tiger would not be with us at TPC Sawgrass for the weekend. Woods walked off after his early round at 1-under, which was safely above the cut line by a shot. But the way scores were coming in, some of the predictive models had that cut line moving up a shot to 2-under and that’s exactly what happened for much of the afternoon. Until a late gift from Spieth and Thomas, who both missed putts at the very end of the day for a late cut line change to 1-under that brought Tiger back into the fold. As is custom on Tour, the top 70 and ties make it through to the final 36 holes at The Players.

So we’ve got some absolutely loaded groups playing early on the livestreams. You’ll need a subscription for the PGA Tour’s OTT service. In the afternoon, NBC will take the reins for what is one of their marquee events. NBC added the British Open a couple years ago, making up for the hole it had when the U.S. Open went to FOX. But it’s long been the broadcast partner of The Players, adding it to a strong lineup that features the Open, Florida swing, and FedExCup. So we’ll get some enjoyable and prickly Johnny Miller on Saturday afternoon.

UPDATE: The PGA Tour is also now simulcast streaming Tiger’s round on their Facebook page. So if you don’t have a PGA TOUR Live subscription, check that out for a livestream of Tiger’s round.
