PGA Tour bubble update: Joel Dahmen on outside looking in thru 36 holes at RSM Classic

Countless PGA Tour pros have a lot on the line in the season finale, including Joel Dahmen, who has work to do to secure his card for 2025.

Jack Milko has been playing golf since he was five years old. He has yet to record a hole-in-one, but he did secure an M.A. in Sports Journalism from St. Bonaventure University.

We are halfway through the RSM Classic, and Patrick Fishburn, the 127th-ranked player in the world who has never won on the PGA Tour, leads the way at 11-under in Sea Island, Georgia.

Maverick McNealy and Lee Hodges lurk one stroke behind while two budding young stars, Michael Thorbjornsen and Luke Clanton, the latter of whom has retained his amateur status, are at 9-under.

But the real drama sits farther down the leaderboard.

Joel Dahmen, currently 126th in the FedEx Cup Fall rankings, sunk a 6-footer for par on the 18th hole to make the cut on the number. He called that the ‘most stressful’ putt of his career as he now has a chance to improve his place on the leaderboard—and in the standings over the weekend. Remember, after this week, the top 125 finishers secure PGA Tour cards for the 2025 season—those who finish among the top 150 earn conditional status.

So, after 36 holes, here is an update on where things stand regarding the FedEx Cup Bubble:
