Min Woo Lee took over Tuesday night’s TGL match, leading The Bay to a 5-4 victory over a Tiger Woods-less Jupiter Links team.
Min Woo Lee electrifies in TGL, now its time for him to shine at Cognizant Classic
Min Woo Lee is one of the most entertaining players in the sport and he showed why in Tuesday’s TGL match.

Jack Milko has been playing golf since he was five years old. He has yet to record a hole-in-one, but he did secure an M.A. in Sports Journalism from St. Bonaventure University.
The Aussie set a TGL record by hitting a tee shot with a preposterous 192 miles per hour ball speed. To put that in perspective, the big-hitting Aldrich Potgieter currently leads the PGA Tour with an average ball speed of 190.79. Lee, meanwhile, occupies the second spot, averaging 186.89 miles per hour.
But Lee’s entertaining display extended far beyond his sizzling tee shots. He showed off his nifty short game, chipping in twice. He then hit a remarkable approach from the rough on the par-5 9th, as his second shot from 255 yards out caught the slope and settled six feet away. The Bay then doubled down with their hammer, making the 9th worth three points. Lee’s teammate, Shane Lowry, then drained the eagle putt, which all but ended the match.
“Obviously, it’s nice to get a win and hit some good shots,” Lee said.
“Probably hit one of the best shots of my life from that rough, so that’s quite cool. Hopefully I can do that on the course this week.”
Now the question is, can Lee keep this momentum going at this week’s Cognizant Classic? He has yet to win on the PGA Tour but has already posted a pair of top-20 starts this season. He tied for 12th at TPC Scottsdale but then skittered to a solo 48th finish at the Genesis Invitational.
Despite PGA National not playing to his strengths, this water-logged course seems to fit Lee’s eye. He has played eight competitive rounds there, shooting over par only once. He tied for 26th in 2023, his Cognizant Classic debut. Then, last year, he played well, tying for second and finishing three strokes behind Austin Eckroat.
Maybe it’s time for Lee to bring his electrifying and infectious personality to a PGA Tour winner’s circle. Only time will tell, but Lee has the game — and the flair — to make it there.
