One of the biggest movies of the year officially has a release date.

Happy Gilmore 2 is set to hit Netflix on July 25th, almost 30 years after the original first hit theaters.

Golf fans, movie fans in general, have been looking forward to this ever since word of the sequel officially happening broke. Given how long it has been since we have seen what Adam Sandler’s character is up to, it is going to be interesting to see what twists and turns await us in the sequel.

Netflix offered a sneak peak of sorts in the third season of Full Swing as they showed Sandler filming a portion of the movie with PGA Tour stars like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and others. Setting the release for the summer certainly makes sense and July 25th is right near the end of the regular season. It is the first Friday after The Open Championship at Royal Portrush.

Hurry up, July 25th.
