There is a great Happy Gilmore trend going on to help benefit First Tee thanks to TruGreen

TruGreen and First Tee are doing great work right now related to Happy Gilmore.

You are likely well aware that Happy Gilmore 2 comes out on Netflix this Friday and if you have found your way here then you have probably made plans to watch it as soon as it does.

Something fun going on in the lead up to that though is the great work that TruGreen and First Tee have going on in anticipation of the movie. TruGreen and First Tee linked up (no pun intended) with Ball State golfer Landon “Happy” Gilmore. Obviously Landon has gone by that nickname for just about his whole life.

Here is what’s going on in Happy’s own words.

Golfers from all walks of life can get in on this challenge. All you have to do is post a video of your own “happy swing” and use the hashtag #TruGreenHappyDrive. TruGreen, who has already donated $250,000 to First Tee, will match each one with another dollar. Obviously if you challenge your family and friends you ran rake in more donations.

On the subject of donations you can make one in general to First Tee right here. In speaking with Landon, he noted the huge benefit that First Tee offered in his life as a young golfer, a benefit that helped him reach the point he is at today.

We all have fond memories of Happy Gilmore, both the movie and this particular collegiate golfer, and this is a great way from TruGreen and First Tee to celebrate that.
