WTGL is stacked.

TMRW Sports announced commitments from six more players on Tuesday morning for the upcoming league that is set to debut later this year. WTGL is what it sounds like for those unaware, a women’s version of the popular TGL league that just completed its second season.

Prior to Tuesday there were eight names committed:

  • Lexi Thompson
  • Lydia Ko
  • Charley Hull
  • Brooke Henderson
  • Jeeno Thitikul
  • Rose Zhang
  • Lottie Woad
  • Michelle Wie West

As noted there are six new names to add to the list:

  • Celine Boutier (six-time LPGA Tour winner; major champion)
  • Andrea Lee (No. 24 in the world; LPGA Tour winner)
  • Minjee Lee (No. 7 in the world; three-time major champion)
  • Danielle Kang (six-time LPGA Tour winner; major champion)
  • Megan Khang (LPGA Tour winner; four-time Solheim Cup team member)
  • Albane Valenzuela (three-time Olympian)

In addition to the expanded roster of players there was another announcement on Tuesday: WTGL officially has a logo.

“WTGL continues to build momentum as a global platform for LPGA stars and women’s team golf,” said Pete
Jung, Chief Marketing Officer of TMRW Sports. “With today’s brand reveal and 14 LPGA Tour players now
committed — including major champions, Olympians and Solheim Cup players from around the world — this
milestone underscores the excitement we’re seeing from players, team ownership groups and potential
partners as we prepare for WTGL’s inaugural season.”

There is no doubt that WTGL is garnering momentum ahead of launch later in 2026. Their roster is filled with all sorts of star power as noted.

It should be mentioned though that current world number one Nelly Korda, by far the biggest star on the LPGA Tour at the moment, is not among those committed to WTGL at this time. Nelly has spoken before about the league and said that a co-ed partnership with TGL may have been more ideal. It is unknown if she will join this venture at some point.

Doing some math, TGL rosters are comprised of three players on a team in a given match. Obviously each match is between two teams. That means that there are six active players at all times and currently only enough players to assemble four teams. The point here is that it stands to reason that more names could be joining the fold. Perhaps Nelly, maybe even her sister Jessica as well, will be a part of that. Again, just thinking out loud.

Whatever the case may be, WTGL is not slowing down. It is great to see.
