VIDEO: Celebrity Apprentice 2011, Starring Jose Canseco And Lil Jon
Jose Canseco nearly came to blows to with Richard Hatch (nee “that guy from Survivor”) during the season premiere of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice, and frankly, it can only get better from here. Every Sunday at 9 p.m., Canseco, Gary Busey, Lil Jone will vie for Donald Trump’s attention and affection.
I never thought I would get sucked into the Apprentice phenomenon, because really, who would want to subject themselves to Donald Trump’s whims week after week after week?
But now Jose’s involved! And if we’re not going to e-mail him pretending to be Charlie Sheen, then we should at least attention to his turn in the spotlight. And don’t worry, I know what you’re asking. Would Jose Canseco throw someone under the bus to win Celebrity Apprentice?
I mean, objectively speaking, this is a man who ratted out every teammate he ever had to help sell copies of his book, so isn’t the question itself is sort of unnecessary? But Jose’s answer is still pretty great.
“If I have to throw someone under the bus, it depends on the situation,” he says. “But I think there’s a real respectful and gentle way of throwing someone under the bus. To where all the wheels don’t catch him, just one.” I mean, you can say what you want about the sanity in that statement, but you have to respect his sincerity.
And of course, there’s Lil Jon’s introduction video, along with Mark McGrath’s introduction video, where he tells us, “If you smell funnel cakes, that means Sugar Ray is probably playing. ... We, uh, we play a lot of state fairs.” And Gary Busey merits mention, obviously.
And then there’s also... whoops! I’ve spent about 30 minutes looking through Celebrity Apprentice videos this morning, so let’s move on while we still can.
