2013 Astros? Meet the 1986 Mariners.

Bob Levey

This one just screams for some context, doesn’t it?

Okay, here’s your some context:

- The 2012 Pirates finished with the second-most strikeouts in the league, and the 10th-most runs.

- The 2002 Brewers finished with the fourth-most strikeouts, and the fewest runs.

- The 1986 Mariners finished with the most strikeouts, and the 10th most runs.

Striking out a ton isn’t a good thing, but by itself doesn’t guarantee a horrible attack.

Of course, the Astros probably will have a horrible attack.
