This isn’t the first bunt-double I’ve seen in my life, but I believe it’s the first this season:
When a guy bunted for a double!

These have been a special interest of mine, but not so special that I’ve actually kept track of them or anything. In one of my books, I did write about Willie McCovey supposedly (according to Jon Miller) bunting for a double ... and Miller’s memory was perfect, as McCovey, with the infield over-shifted, bunted down the left-field line for a double in this game ... and reminding us, when we recall the story, that today’s hugely popular over-shifts should lead to plenty more bunt-doubles. But don’t.
Look, I realize that bunting’s not as easy as some guys make it look. On the other hand, if pitchers have the necessary hand-eye coordination to get a sacrifice down most of the time, couldn’t Joey Votto learn to push a bunt down the line just about whenever he wants?
