Imagine Dario Franchitti is competing for yet another Izod IndyCar Series championship in two years.
U.S. Senator Ashley Judd? Dario Franchitti’s wife may run for office

OK, maybe that isn’t too difficult considering he’s a four-time champ and driving for one of the sport’s top teams.
But what if Franchitti was doing that while his wife, Ashley Judd, was in a heated 2014 campaign to win a Senate seat in her native state of Kentucky?
Well, according to Politico, that very scenario may come to fruition. Judd is reported to be “seriously exploring” the idea of running against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and has even gone so far as to talk some politicians about what running for office entails – as well as doing research on what her perceived weaknesses may be.
Whether anything comes of the idea remains to be seen. For the time being, though, it is amusing to think of what Judd’s reaction would be should she win the campaign.
Would she run around, sandals in hand and in hysterics like she did when her husband scored one of his three Indianapolis 500 victories?
We may soon find out.
