Dragon Racing is still exploring its options for next season but hopes to continue working with drivers Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Saavedra next season according to a report by Marshall Pruett of RACER.
Dragon Racing hopes to retain Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastian Saavedra
Dragon Racing has announced an entry into Formula E but remains interested in IndyCar and hopes to retain its driver lineup from this season.

Bourdais has established a lot of momentums in recent months after a mid-season switch of engineers as Tom Brown was brought on to lead the four-time Champ Car World Series champion’s efforts. The Frenchman has recorded four top-10s over the last five races, including a second and a pair of thirds.
His young teammate, Sebastian Saavedra has also made a lot of gains this season and finished eighth at Baltimore -- his best result of the season.
Team owner Jay Penske is hoping that momentum carries over into the final three weeks of the season and into the off-season as the team searches for funding and resources.
“We’re working our behinds off to win one of these final three races of the year and I believe we’ve built a team that’s capable of doing so,” Penske told RACER. “I want to find a way to work with both of these drivers in the future.
“We’ve shown with Bourdais that he’s an incredible driver and we came close to winning art Baltimore, but at times, I also think the team behind him doesn’t get enough credit, and there are some incredible mechanics and engineers and crew that make it all possible. And Sebastian [Saavedra] has also been a great addition to our team and has a lot of promise. There’s more for us to do.”
Most alarming about the conversation is that Penske revealed that he’s weighing a part-time schedule next season if it makes sense after having two full-time teams this season.
“I believe that Bourdais and Saavedra will be working with us in the future and we’re still very much planning on running in IndyCar in the future,” Penske added. “How many races? What’s the schedule? A full [season] versus Indy only? That’s the question for us right now. We’re looking at all of our options. That’s where we are today.”
