Kimball is diabetic, but the illness from which he was suffering on Saturday is unrelated, per the spokesman. Kimball was treated with fluids from medical personnel and is expected to race on Sunday, when he'll start 19th in the Indy 500.
Kimball believes he and the other Ganassi drivers will have success despite disadvantageous starting positions due to their sole focus on race-day engineering, he told SB Nation on Wednesday.
"We've had a good month. We've focused on our race-day setups in practice and Fast Friday getting rained out didn't give us a chance to focus on single-car runs."
Kimball is one of 11 American drivers who will compete in the 97th annual installment of "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing."
