Cristian Tello has extended his contract with Barcelona according to the club's website. Thanks to the new deal, Tello will remain with the club through the summer of 2016. His buyout clause has been set at 10 million euros.

Tello, a La Masia product, signed a contract extension today that will keep him with Barcelona until 2016


Tello spoke with fcbarcelona.com and had this to say about his new contract:
"I'm very proud and I'm very happy, I've dreamed about this since I was a child. I want to return the confidence to those that had confidence in me." The forward also noted that since he made his debut for the team, against Villarreal, that the first team players "have always treated me like one of their own."
Tello also told the website he hopes to keep his #37 kit as it has given him good luck.
Tello spent five years in Bacelona's famed youth program, from 2002 to 2007, and spent two seaons on loans playing for Damm and Espanyol. He's a regular on the Barcelona B side that competes in Liga Adelante (Spanish 2nd Division) but has made regular appearances with the first team this season.
He made his first team debut on November 8th, 2011 in a Copa del Rey match against Hospitalet in which he scored two goals. His league debut came on January 28th against Villareal. He score his first league goal against Real Sociedad on February 4.
