Barcelona vs. Real Madrid, 2012 El Clasico: Dani Alves forced out with injury

21-year old defender Martín Montoya has been thrust in the biggest moment of his young career after he replaced Dani Alves in the 28th minute. Not sure exactly on the nature of the injury, but it's possible Alves was carrying a knock and managed to re-aggravate it at some point. He certainly looked poor on Ronaldo's goal.

Speaking of Ronaldo, the Portuguese midfielder will now begin sharpening his knives and licking his chops at the prospect of attacking a young and inexperienced defender. If Montoya struggles, this could get ugly quick. In addition, without Gerard Pique or Carles Puyol to help back him up, it's a big ask for the young kid.

An early goal and now an inury to a key defender, this are looking rough for Barcelona at the moment.
