YouTube will offer live free streaming of the upcoming 2012 Olympics in London to 64 countries and territories in Asia and Africa. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) had yet to sell the digital rights to their content in these countries and YouTube moved in, announcing that they would provide free streaming in what is a revenue-sharing deal with the IOC. YouTube started providing Olympic content in 2008 by archiving various clips from the Beijing games.
