2012 Olympics: Event Schedule, TV Coverage For Saturday

With the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony over and done with, we can now get to the actual events in the Summer Games. The games get started as early as 4 a.m. ET and will last until as late as midnight. The day gets kicked off with some Beach Volleyball qualifying.

The day will also feature some key evens like swimming qualifying (11 a.m. ET on NBC) and the first round of tennis matches which well be shown on Bravo.

The games will be shown on a variety of networks throughout the day and also be streamed live online at the NBCOlympics.com website.

The full Saturday schedule is below:

Saturday, July 28

  • 4 a.m. - 8 p.m. (NBCSN) Beach Volleyball: Qualifying (4 a.m., 8:15 a.m.) Shooting: Gold Medal Final (6 a.m.) Women’s Volleyball: China vs. Serbia (6:45 a.m.)
  • Women’s Soccer: New Zealand vs. Brazil (9:30 a.m.), USA vs. Columbia (Noon), France vs. North Korea (2:45 p.m.) Men’s Archery: Gold Medal Final (11:15 a.m.)
  • Equestrian: Event Dressage (1:45 p.m.)
  • Women’s Handball: Qualifying (4:30 p.m.) Archery: Men’s Team Final (5:45 p.m.)

5 a.m. - 6 p.m. (NBC)

  • Men’s Cycling: Road Race (5 a.m.) Swimming: Qualifying (11 a.m., 1:30 p.m.) Women’s Basketball: USA vs. Croatia (11:45 a.m.)
  • Rowing: Qualifying (2:30 p.m.) Women’s Volleyball: USA vs. South Korea (3 p.m.) Beach Volleyball: Qualifying (5 p.m.)

7 a.m. - 5 p.m. (MSNBC)

  • Women’s Soccer: Japan vs. Sweden (7 a.m.), Canada vs. South Africa (9:30 a.m.), Great Britain vs. Cameroon (12:15 p.m.) Women’s Fencing: Individual Foil Gold (9 a.m.) Badminton: Qualifying (11:30 a.m.) Table Tennis: Qualifying (2 p.m.) Women’s Handball: Denver vs. Sweden (2:45 p.m.) Women’s Fencing: Individual Foil Final (3:30 p.m.) Beach Volleyball: Qualifying (4 p.m.)

7 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Bravo)

Tennis: First Round Matches
8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m (CNBC)

Boxing: Elimination bouts (bantamweight, middleweight)
8 p.m. - Midnight (NBC)

  • Swimming: Gold Medal Finals (Men’s 400m individual medley, 400m freestyle; women’s 400m individual medley, 4x100m freestyle relay) Men’s Gymnastics: Team Competition Beach Volleyball: U.S. Qualifying

12:30 a.m. - 1:30 a.m. (NBC)

  • Women’s Weightlifting: Gold Medal Final (48 kg class) Men’s Gymnastics: Team Competition
