London Olympics 2012: TV Coverage, Event Schedule For Sunday

It’s the last day at the Olympics, featuring the final in men’s basketball, and of course, the closing ceremony. Here’s how to watch.

Today, it all ends: the Summer Olympics, that two-week stretch of sports you love mixed in with sports you didn’t know existed that only comes around once every four years, wraps up today on the 16th day of competition. And there’s still a lot to figure out.

The highlight of the day is probably the United States’ gold medal matchup with Spain in men’s basketball. This iteration of the Dream Team may have looked dominant at times, but that’s all prologue: if they don’t win today, it’ll all have been for naught. Elsewhere, many boxing golds will be given out, as will the finishes to men’s volleyball, water polo, and handball.

The United States has essentially sealed up the medal count and gold medals - the majority of the events where medals will be given out today deal with tournaments that have limited the possible gold-winners to two over the course of the past two weeks, and there’s not much room for error for China to catch up.

And for those of you who don’t like sports but love pageantry and/or the Spice Girls, it all finishes tonight with the Closing Ceremony.

Here’s the full listing of today’s events and how to watch them - as always events will be available for streaming live online on the NBC Olympics website.
