Olympic Media Bus Strikes, Kills Cyclist
A bus carrying media members at the London Olympics hit and killed a cyclist about one mile north of the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Details are still rather scarce on exactly what happened, but the Associated Press is reporting that detectives have launched an investigation as they try to figure out exactly what caused the collision.
The accident occurred near the park’s northern boundary, near facilities for Paralympic athletes and the Olympic Velodrome. Bus transportation in and out of the park was halted. Ambulances, including a helicopter-borne unit, tried to save the man.
The increased amount of traffic in town for the Summer Games may have led to the crash. Luckily no other injuries were reported and nobody has been arrested with regards to the incident, but it’s always heartbreaking to hear about situations such as this.
