The most anticipated event of the day is the women’s 100m hurdles. All eyes will be on Lolo Jones who will attempt to makeup for the mistake that potentially cost her gold at the 2008 Olympics. Jones was leading the race when she tripped on the ninth hurdle causing her to stumble and finish in seventh place.
Jones will attempt to claim the gold this year, but will have to overcome some stiff competition which includes American Dawn Harper who won the 2008 gold after Jones’ stumble.
