As expected, wearing green cleats will cost Brandon Marshall $10,500. But what wasn’t expected was what the wide receiver tweeted on Wednesday.

And, as promised, the NFL fined him for committing a uniform violation. But what wasn’t expected came Wednesday morning, when Marshall tweeted out the league’s letter, informing him of his $10.500 fine:

Even with his second career uniform fine, Marshall remains undeterred, and sees a bigger picture beyond football - “This fine is nothing compared to the conversation that was started and the Awareness raised.”
