Back in June, the mayors of Boston and Chicago made a bet on the outcome of the Stanley Cup Final, as mayors are wont to do. In addition to the typical local cuisine, Boston Mayor Thomas Menino wagered “Access to the City of Boston’s website for one day, to post a promotional video touting Chicago and its great attractions.”
Blackhawks take over City of Boston’s website
Boston’s Mayor makes good on his Stanley Cup bet as the Chicago Blackhawks take over CityofBoston.gov.

Well, as you probably know, the Blackhawks beat the Bruins in the Cup, and on Wednesday Menino -- and http://www.cityofboston.gov/ -- had to pay up.
The Boston Bruins lost a close Stanley Cup Finals series (4-2) to the Chicago Blackhawks earlier this year. As a result, Mayor Menino is making good on his bet with Mayor Emanuel. The City of Chicago’s promotional video will be displayed here for the entire day.
