Jayson Carter is smaller than your average football player. He’s even smaller than your average football player who gets a human interest story written about how small he is. Carter is 4’9, 135 pounds, but that didn’t stop him from playing football at his small independent high school -- he had over 1,000 yards rushing at KIPP Houston and more amazingly, played defense and racked up a bunch of tackles -- and that didn’t stop him from walking on to Rice.
