It’s been a rough season for Southern Illinois basketball head coach Barry Hinson. His team is 2-8 on the year, top players are under-performing and Hinson believes it’s because he has a “bunch of mama’s boys.” On Tuesday night the Salukis were out-rebounded 40-29 in a loss to Murray State, prompting a fiery oratory from the first-year head coach that includes the phrase “size doesn’t matter.”

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.
The best part of the rant is the reference to Mrs. Hinson’s game. Boy, he really wants you to know that his wife could shoot better than than 2-11, doesn’t he? The big question is whether she has any eligibility left, because we want to see this fabled shot fake.
At least the players took it well.
