The SEC championship game has been wonderful -- 28-27 at the half! TWENTY EIGHT TO TWENTY SEVEN AT THE HALF -- but as with every year, the highlight is the Dr. Pepper football tossy thing, where random people compete for life-changing money by having them throw balls into oversized cans. It’s the best advertising ever, because at any point in the year, you could ask me “hey, what happens during halftime of the SEC Championship Game?” and 100 percent of the time I would answer “THE DR. PEPPER FOOTBALL TOSSY THING.”
Tim Tebow wins Dr. Pepper halftime football toss thing at SEC Championship game
His form may be widely criticized, but it wins ballgames, dammit.
Anyway, this year’s contest was a BARNBURNER, featuring overtime and a tiebreaker. The tiebreaker was won by former SEC champion and ex-New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow some guy from Alabama named Brooks. Examine his throwing form:
We’d like to point out this near perfect GIF from Tim Burke:
Seriously: HOW LONG DID IT TAKE YOU TO REALIZE THIS GIF WAS A LOOP OF THE SAME THROW OVER AND OVER AGAIN?!?!? It even looks like the Mizzou cheerleader on the left catches it.
Anyway, congratulations, Brooks. The price of a scholarship is getting made fun of on the internet.
