Rick Pitino promised his Louisville players a tattoo if they could pull off a magical two-month run, and on Thursday morning the Hall of Fame coach made good on that deal.

Pitino told his U of L team after a five overtime loss to Notre Dame on Feb. 9 that he wanted them to win the last seven games of the regular season, then the Big East Tournament title and then the national championship. When the Cardinal players responded by asking if the coach would get a tattoo if it happened, he promised that he would.
It’s been pretty clear over the past year just how much this group has meant to Pitino personally, but getting inked up is pretty much the ultimate proof.
