Bryce Harper jokes ‘play me or trade me’

The Nationals’ star slugger had some fun with his manager.

Washington Nationals manager Davey Johnson planned to rest Bryce Harper the rest of this weekend, according to Mark Zuckerman of Nats Insider.

Harper had other ideas, texting his manager “play me or trade me.”

Johnson’s response? “Since trading him is out of the question, I guess I’m going to play him.”

Good choice. Harper had three RBI.
