Cardinals catch Starlin Castro napping

St. Louis took advantage of a momentary lapse in concentration by Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro on Saturday to steal a run.

Starlin Castro is having a rough year in 2013, and his season got tougher on Saturday. Castro, hitting just .244/.278/.345 this season, caught a fly ball off the bat of Matt Carpenter of the Cardinals for the second out of the inning. With the bases loaded, the infield fly rule was called. But Castro momentarily looked down, either losing concentration or not paying attention, and Jon Jay took advantage.

Jay scored from third base against a sleeping Castro to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead. One inning later, Castro was pulled from the game. Another tough season for the Cubs.
