As if a loss against rival Ole Miss wasn’t bad enough, one of the buses taking Mississippi State football players back to Starkville was involved in a minor traffic accident.
Mississippi State’s bus got into two crashes after Egg Bowl
One of the buses carrying Bulldog players home was involved in two minor accidents.
Yes we were involved in accident with buses on highway but no need to panic. Everyone is ok. Just getting some to another bus now.
— Bill Martin (@MSUBillMartin) November 30, 2014 There were no injuries and another bus arrived to pick-up the players.
Got a new bus and we are now on the way back to Starkville with the other buses. Everyone ok.
— Bill Martin (@MSUBillMartin) November 30, 2014 The original bus was not done making news though, and a couple hours later, this tweet appeared.
The Mississippi State bus that wrecked earlier tonight in Oxford has just wrecked again right in front of our office. pic.twitter.com/aJTGNQ8CA4
— The Local Voice (@TheLocalVoice) November 30, 2014 The bus incurred some damage along the way, including a smashed windshield and a busted up bumper.
Based on Martin’s tweets, it sounds like the bus had no one on it at the time of the second wreck, but still, what a day.
