Mo’ne Davis named captain of high school varsity basketball team, at age 13

Mo’ne Davis made a splash during the Little League World series when she led the Taney Dragons. Now she’s being asked to do something a little different -- lead a high school varsity basketball team.

According to CSN Philly, not only did the eighth-grade student make the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy team, but she’s been named captain. Given that she’s already shown a knack for breaking ankles, this should be fun to watch.

Could this year get any bigger for Davis? A superstar at the Little League World Series, she was named 2014 Sportskid of the Year, and had a Spike Lee documentary made about her. Get used to seeing and hearing about Davis, because you probably will for a long, long time.
