Giannis Antetokounmpo caught the ball at the three-point line. He dribbled once, planted his foot a bit inside the foul line and dunked:
Here is today’s Giannis Antetokounmpo spectacular thing
Giannis Antetokounmpo is incredible and all we want to do is watch him do incredible things all day long.
We watch a lot of basketball, and most of it is from the same angle, high above one side of the court. Certain things look normal: where certain body parts are when certain players dunk, how far away from the rim one needs to be to get there without dribbling, how fast players of certain sizes are supposed to move across our screen.
When Giannis Antetokounmpo does things, they just look different. He’s not supposed to be able to dunk from there. His arms aren’t supposed to be that long. He shouldn’t move that quickly if he’s that tall. As Mike Prada noted, he’s so unique that it’s difficult for refs to even make a simple travel call.
We don’t know what to expect from Antetokounmpo’s career. But we’re so, so, so intrigued.
