Did you know that teams who miss the NCAA Tournament have another tournament they can play in? Sure you did, the NIT. But did you know teams who miss the NIT have another tournament they can play in, the CBI, with a best-of-three championship series? Maybe you didn’t.
There is a rap song for the CIT, the fourth-rate college hoops tournament
Yale and Murray State squared off for the CIT title and YES CBS MADE A RAP SONG

Did you know teams that miss THAT tournament have another tournament they can play in? The CIT? The CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament? Which doesn’t even allow major conference teams to play and also isn’t technically an anagram?
Well, it exists, and tonight was the final between Yale and Murray State. And lo and behold, IT HAS A RAP SONG:
Quite frankly, this isn’t the worst thing in the world. It’s by some guy named Rick Chyme, whose claim to rap fame is that he freestyled for 17 hours. He’s got great flow, makes references to CIT alumni Jeremy Lin and Damian Lillard, and also says “fans in the stands with hands up like the trap of our press,” which is a reference to a very specific basketball thing and therefore awesome.
We endorse minor college basketball tournaments existing if they will continue trying to look reasonable by making rap videos about their existence.
