After 100-plus years, the Chicago Cubs have a mascot, Clark the Sad Bear. The guy in this video is not the Cubs’ mascot. The guy in this video is a guy who walks around Cubs games wearing a cub suit. When you try to unmask him, he will punch you in the face.

Real mascots will not punch you in the face, but real mascots also won’t be creepily hugging people in a bar for a long enough time that you can swoop on them and take off their mascot head. It’s a Catch 22, and one that makes us wholeheartedly endorse the concept of Drunk Amateur Mascotting. (That said, how did this guy drink/get drunk if he never took off his mascot head?
