How ‘Fartolo Colon’ lost to the Colorado Rockies

The story behind a terrific and hilarious crawl on postgame television.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Anytime Bartolo Colon steps into the batter's box there's sure to be something hilarious happening, like actually making contact with the ball and running to first base with his bat in Thursday night's game against the Rockies. But he was atrocious on the mound as well, allowing seven runs in four-plus innings.

After the game, “FARTOLO COLON” appeared during the postgame scroll of fan comments.

Surely, the Denver Post’s Nick Groke is hinting that it’s none other than Benjamin Hochman, the Post’s lead sports columnist, right?

Aren’t you going to think about farts every time you see Bartolo Colon?
