Miralem Pjanic buys out entire pharmacy to help Bosnian flood victims
Bosnia is in crisis after record flooding and Miralem Pjanic is doing what he can to help.

The AS Roma and Bosnia-Herzegovina midfielder then gave away the drugs and medical supplies to the people affected by the floods in his homeland, according to Avaz, which also has photos of Pjanic cleaning out the pharmacy. Pjanic also oversaw the distribution to those in need.
Flooding in Bosnia has affected one million people, or a quarter of the country’s population. The government has compared the destruction to the Bosnian War as it has left more than 100,000 houses and buildings in the country unusable, while more than a million people lack clean water.
Many athletes are doing their part to spread the word about the floods in Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia, appealing for donations and sending money themselves. But few are going to such lengths as Pjanic did, making such a hands-on contribution.
Pjanic can’t possibly help all one million people, but basic medical supplies and pharmaceuticals go a long way in times of crisis. Perhaps his contribution will encourage others with the means and desire to help to do so in such meaningful ways - or at least, continue to spread the word regarding the devastation occurring in these countries, prompting people to help in whatever way possible.
