Former pro wrestling world champion and sparklers enthusiast Bill Goldberg was recently on Jim Ross’ podcast, the Ross Report. One of the topics of conversation was how the native Oklahoman ended up playing football at the University of Georgia.
Bill Goldberg made his college decision based on bourbon
More like Goldbourbon am I right.

Although Goldberg stated he had plenty of options, as he was heavily recruited by Barry Switzer and his uncle had been best friends with Bear Bryant, there was one thing that sealed the deal on a visit to UGA: pure, sweet booze.
“I gave it a shot ... Again, what solidified my trip was a bottle of Wild Turkey that was handed to me as I was standing on top of a bar during my recruiting trip. You know, I had a great time at Georgia, great memories. It will always be that one thing in my life that I’ll want to re-enact again.”
Take a moment, if you will, to imagine a fresh-out-of-college Bill Goldberg -- basically this guy -- standing on a bar, screaming and being handed a full bottle of alcohol. Just a guess that the night may have ended something like this:
