Watch people surf the most dangerous wave in the world

You are right to fear the ocean.

Bill Hanstock
Bill Hanstock is a writer, author and Emmy Award-winning producer. He began writing for SB Nation in 2011.

Via Stab, Monster energy teamed up with Ryan Hipwood to take on “The Right,” which is the most unpredictable wave in the world and easily one of the most dangerous. It’s also the wave that nearly killed Hipwood in 2012. Watch him and a group of world-class surfers go up against some truly insane swells. (And watch jet skis get tossed around like tissue paper.) Easily the most awe-inspiring thing you’ll see today.

Just look at this bad boy:

Actually, I know what this needs. I think you do, too:

The ocean is strong, y’all. Be careful out there.
