The Angels love setting Guinness World Records, and their most recent came on Wednesday, when they attempted to fill the stadium with fans wearing Santa hats to celebrate that it was halfway to Christmas.

There were actual rules in place, as the fans had to wear the hats for five minutes in order to shatter the previous record of 872. Just from that Vine, you get the sense they crushed that figure.
The Angels have set records in the past for even more random things than this, such as the most people wearing fleece blankets, or the most people in costume masks, and just last summer, the largest gathering of people wearing wigs. I call bull on their claim from 2012 that they assembled the largest crowd of people wearing cowboy hats, though. Texas holds that record, and not even on purpose.
