This NBA prospect jumps higher than Vince Carter

Remember when Andrew Wiggins momentarily won the Internet with the picture of his 44” vertical jump? It was impressive, sure, but Wiggins can’t even claim to have the best hops in his draft class. That honor now unofficially belongs to Zach LaVine, who jumped 46” at his Lakers workout today. Photographic evidence:

According to Draft Express’ database, only one player in the history of the draft combine has ever matched a 46” vertical. That would be former Memphis wing D.J. Stephens a year ago.
LaVine’s unofficial jump would be:
- 2.5” higher than Nate Robinson.
- 3” higher than Vince Carter.
- 4” higher than Ben McLemore and Victor Oladipo a year ago.
It’s worth noting that LaVine logged a 41.5” vertical at the draft combine last month, which tied Glenn Robinson III for the highest in his class. He was pretty impressive there, too.
