Matt Garza made an All-Star face after his no-hitter was (briefly) saved

Play poker with Matt Garza if you ever get the opportunity.

MLB.com

Matt Garza was working on a no-hitter in Milwaukee against the Phillies, and ended up getting some help from Ryan Braun and Carlos Gomez. They made the catch and temporarily preserved the no-no, but not until after colliding.

That event gave us this Garza face:

Garza is relieved that Gomez and Braun are okay after bumping, and also that his no-hitter remained intact. You’d be forgiven if you can’t stop staring at his uneven goatee, though, especially not when combined with his eyeballs frozen in a still shot:

In less frightening news, hey, that catch was pretty good considering there was a collision first.
