Yearbook quotes are funny things. You’re asked to make a life-defining statement before you really understand what life is. Sometimes these come off as pointless and vapid, but if you’re Tim Howard your yearbook quote is utterly perfect.
Okay so maybe (probably) Howard was making an allusion to Public Enemy, but that doesn’t really matter. This still fits. There are almost 12 million Belgians, the country produces amazing soccer players, and for 120 minutes he stopped almost everything without enough help. Howard truly stopped a nation of millions.
