In no state -- even the state represented by the team Eli Manning plays quarterback for or the state Eli Manning is from -- do people think Eli Manning is elite. (Sorry, ELIte.) In fact, they couldn’t even bring themselves to say that Manning had ever been elite at any point in time, even with the Super Bowl titles and stuff.
