The Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes, are giving away outfield prospect Joc Pederson’s car. From a press release:
Win a minor leaguer’s 1994 Buick Century
Only 166,000 miles!

The car, nicknamed “Little Chucky,” has only 166,000 miles on it and has at least one operable window, which is really all you need. It is perfect for cruising around during the New Mexico summers with its “awesome” stereo system and lack of air conditioning. Kelly Blue Book estimates the value at nearly $1,000 (depending on if it has a full tank of gas). Little Chucky will also come with two complimentary air fresheners and whatever else Pederson forgets to clean out.
Pederson has a great chance to make the big leagues soon and a decent chance of becoming a regular player one day. If you keep this ‘94 Century in your garage for 20 or 30 years, it would be a solid investment. How much would Cal Ripken’s ‘73 Hornet be worth today? Probably a million dollars, give or take.
Seems like a pretty good reason to enter the contest and keep this beaut around for a while. You never know. And in the meantime, everyone can use an awesome stereo system.
