I’m from Iowa, and I go to school with a bunch of New Yorkers who are genuinely surprised that modern stuff exists in my state. Every day is an uphill battle, mostly because the University of Iowa has to send out releases like this, telling fans to “set their VCRs” for Saturday’s football game.

Who knew that VCRs still existed? Our own Alfie Crow said his grandmother in Oxford, Iowa, still uses one, so apparently the university does know its audience.
