DeMarcus Cousins scared the living daylights out of Jonas Valanciunas
DeMarcus Cousins didn’t fight Jonas Valanciunas for elbowing him in the throat, but for a millisecond there, it looked like Boogie might be about to get down.
This stopped before anything bad happened, but, DAMN, for that split-second where Cousins reared up, it seemed as if this could turn into a brawl ugly enough to spark a permanent rift in United States-Lithuania foreign relations.
His reaction was very much provoked, as Valanciunas elbowed him super-hard in the throat:
But because Cousins’ reaction was all the refs saw, he’s the one who ended up with the technical foul. We should also give some credit to Rudy Gay, who went over after the play to tell his former Raptors’ teammate Valanciunas to relax.
